From the demo for the latest Windows 8 phone, to web marketing for a luxury houseware brand, to an online resource center for an organic baby food company - I'm all about clever and concise digital content. Among other things, I've recently conceived and/or written:
The online and mobile version of the Windows 8 demo.
The entire online resource center for Plum Organics baby food.
Various e-blasts, revolving home page copy, and blog posts for L’OBJET luxury housewares.
A successful online promotion for Disney's Santa Paws 2, The Santa Pups (link down, new one coming soon).
Web copy for several Hawaii resorts and destinations, including much of the official site for the Hawaiian Islands.
In addition to my entertainment work, I maintain a small roster of traditional advertising clients. I find that working with companies directly almost always works better for both the client (it's less bureaucratic and far more cost effective) and for me (it's just a lot more fun) than if we were working within a traditional agency structure.
My current clients include DAVIS Construction (Washington D.C.), Oakencroft Juices (an artisanal juice company outside Charlottesville, VA), as well as Hawaii National Bank and other businesses throughout Hawaii.
I’ve written brochures, infographics, network style guides,
websites… you name it. I’ve also written sales and sizzle reels
promoting networks, studios, and entertainment companies.
I’ve written several collateral pieces for high-end resort properties in Hawaii, including Waikiki’s famed Pink Palace (The Royal Hawaiian) – as well as the luxurious new St. Regis Princeville and several luxury real estate developments. I’ve also worked on various travel websites over the years, and created various content for the official site of the Hawaiian Islands.
I've recently taken on a few product naming jobs - including the online gaming company now known as Rumble. Over the years I've also worked on several film re-title jobs, although the studio always ended up going with the working title. Go figure.
Travel is a huge part of my life and I’m happy to jump on a plane for new business pitches, short-term assignments, or a really great happy hour. I once flew around the world producing a sales tape showcasing the ways in which popular British game shows were adapted to different cultures. That was fun. More jobs like that, please.
I’ve also been hired as a traveling creative director (working in Honolulu while based in LA), and as a brand consultant. A couple of years ago, I was brought in to help create the brand foundations for Oprah Winfrey’s Network (OWN). Sadly, she didn’t listen.
