Below you'll find a selection of work samples from film and television projects I've worked on over the past few years. I contract with a variety of entertainment marketing agencies in L.A. and New York, as well as major studios. I'm hired for tagline and copy explorations, AV concepts, retitles, and sizzle reel and presentation scripting, among other things.
More than anything, I'm looking for collaborative opportunities with nice people. No worries if you're a complete asshole; as long as your budget matches the size of your ego, I'm sure we can work something out.
From the demo for the Windows 8 phone, to web marketing for a luxury home décor brand, to an online resource center for an organic baby food company - I'm all about clever and concise digital content. Among other things, I've recently conceived and/or written:
Web copy, social media posts, e-blasts, and blog posts for L’OBJET luxury décor and housewares.
The entire online resource center for Plum Organics baby food.
The online and mobile version of the Windows 8 demo.
Web copy for several Hawaii resorts and destinations, including much of the official site for the Hawaiian Islands.
Web copy for a pizza joint/bar in Honolulu - JJ Dolans.
I’ve provided concepts and copy for brochures, infographics, network style guides, websites… you name it. I’ve also written sales and sizzle reels promoting networks, studios, and entertainment companies.
I’ve worked on collateral pieces for high-end resort properties in Hawaii, like this brochure for Waikiki’s famed Pink Palace (The Royal Hawaiian) – and another brochure for the exquisite St. Regis Princeville on Kauai, as well as projects for luxury real estate developments in both Hawaii and Washington, D.C.
I've recently taken on a few product naming jobs - including the online gaming company now known as Rumble. I was also brought in to name a company that gives TV fans the ability to capture clips of live television and share them via social media - it's called DIDJA (as in, "didja see that?!" It's also a loose abbreviation of "digital").
I've worked on several film re-title jobs, although the studio almost always ends up going with the working title. One exception was my title for "Unfinished Business" - which tanked, so maybe they should have stuck with the working title.
In addition to my entertainment work, I maintain a small roster of traditional advertising clients that include DAVIS Construction (Washington D.C.), Oakencroft Juices (an artisanal juice company in Charlottesville, VA), and a variety of clients throughout Hawaii. Fun Fact: the ad on the right is the first I ever created. The client was too scared to run it. *sigh*
Travel is a huge part of my life and I'm happy to jump on a plane for new business pitches, short-term assignments, or a really great happy hour. I once flew around the world producing a sales tape showcasing the ways in which popular game shows have been adapted to various cultures. That was fun. More jobs like that, please.
